Overview
Sherota Law LLC ("Sherota Law," "we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to our website located at www.sherotalaw.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
By using this Site — including submitting a contact form or interacting with our AI Legal Assistant chatbot — you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Site.
Information We Collect
We collect two categories of information:
| Category | Examples | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Information you provide | Name, email, phone, case description, chatbot messages | Contact form, AI chatbot |
| Information collected automatically | IP address, browser type, pages visited, session duration | Cookies, analytics tools |
Contact Form Data
When you submit the contact form on our Site, we collect the following information:
- Full name — to address you personally in our response
- Email address — to send you a reply
- Phone number — to contact you for a consultation (optional)
- Case type — to route your inquiry to the appropriate practice area
- Message / case description — to understand your legal matter
This information is transmitted via Resend (our email delivery provider) directly to Attorney Brent Sherota at [email protected]. We do not store contact form submissions in a database on our servers.
AI Legal Assistant (Chatbot)
Our Site features an AI-powered Legal Assistant chatbot designed to answer general questions about Georgia law and Sherota Law's practice areas. Please be aware of the following:
- Messages are processed in real time by a third-party large language model (LLM) service to generate responses. Your conversation messages are sent to this service for processing.
- Conversation history is not stored on our servers after your session ends. Each chat session is independent.
- Do not share sensitive personal information — such as your Social Security number, financial account details, or detailed facts about pending criminal charges — in the chatbot.
- Chatbot responses are not legal advice and do not create an attorney-client relationship. The chatbot is for general informational purposes only.
The AI service processes your messages solely to generate a response and is contractually prohibited from using your data to train its models without consent.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may process your data:
| Service | Purpose | Data Shared |
|---|---|---|
| Resend | Email delivery of contact form submissions | Name, email, phone, message |
| AI LLM Provider | Powers the AI Legal Assistant chatbot responses | Chatbot messages (session only) |
| Google Maps | Interactive office location map on Contact page | IP address (approximate location) |
| Manus Platform | Website hosting and infrastructure | Standard server logs |
Each third-party service has its own privacy policy governing their use of your data. We encourage you to review those policies directly.
